What kind of music do you specialize in?
Vinyl. Point blank.
We believe that analog recordings pressed onto vinyl are time capsules, or historical documents if you will. Due to the fact that they are the only media that is actually physically reproducing the audio waves, vinyl is pretty darn special in our digital world.
We do have an ear for seeking out "sample" worthy albums & for most beat makers, we hold a special place with the gems.
For groovers we are here with classics and jams you just can't wait to hear on the system.
For collectors we are here with some valuable rarities and prospects, as well as albums with historical value.

How do you determine pricing for your records?
We have provided How We Price page in an effort of full transparency.
Can you hold an item for me to purchase at a later date?
Online you will have to use our discogs seller page and use the 7 days to pay feature.
In-store, you can drop us an email or phone call to set up for in-person.
We appreciate when folks honor their own words.
Are the records you sell original pressings or reissues?
Both. We take our time to ensure you are buying the specific release/variant. Some are the OG pressing others are RE. We don’t specialize in just any one version but we do clearly identify which.
Do you offer discounts for bulk purchases?
Nope. Sorry.
We will offer incentives from the to time like X% off of any one used selection with a purchase of a new release, or whatever it may be.
Besides, you know our prices are fair.
How often do you add new records to your inventory?
We try our best to add a new stack each week. We have a lot of inventory and do our best - take a look at How We Grade page to learn a bit more of the process.
Can you provide me with a complete grading scale for your records?

Do you only sell vinyl records or do you offer other formats such as CDs or cassette tapes?
Regarding music we only sell vinyl at VinylFarm. In shop we may support local musicians by offering a few select CDs from time to time - or use CDs as give-aways, but for the most part we believe in analog and the authenticity of soul within physical reproductions of audio waves.
How do I know the condition of the record I want to purchase?
Well, if you haven't purchased from us at this point then then question has two answers depending on the tone in which you're reading.
We grade each album critically and conservatively - we believe in giving a lower score to the grade to ensure that we are pricing and providing an album exceeding expectations.
If you mean this question in terms of our site we use a Goldmine Standard and next to each album title you will find the media condition indicated (NM, VG, G) as well as on the product page clearly placed Media Condition & Sleeve Condition.

Are the records you sell cleaned and inspected prior to sale?
For sure, without question. Please view our How We Grade page to learn more of our process.
Do you offer gift certificates?

Do you have a physical store location I can visit?
Yes. We are a mom & pop record shop and our son helps out as a greeter.

Are you really on a farm?
And all of our albums are cleaned with wool from our sheep. No.
We liked the fact that we could be in service to others providing food and have kind of a food thing going.
We out here farming vinyls.
With each purchase you donate one dollar; is that right?
Nope. Not with each purchase. With each individual used vinyl we set aside $1 to be awarded. So if your order has 5 selections - we’ll place aside $5. Or let’s say you had an order of two used selections and one new release and a crewneck. That order would be $2 bucks raised. We count the used vinyl only.
Are you just charging me $1 more than everyone else for a used vinyl?
Nope.
Well, yes & no 😇.
Used vinyl value is a liquid market in terms of value. We price based on several factors we have laid out in our How We Price section of the site.
Is the Cultivate Love initiative online only or do my in-store purchases count also?
For each used vinyl we sell we will place $1 towards our contribution. Even in-store purchases. And even if that vinyl is sold for $1. We aren’t messing around here.

How does it work if my order's zip is selected for Cultivate Love?
As you know VinylFarm is about giving back. You can read more on our Cultivate Love page.
If your order's zip code is randomly selected we will make our contribution as: VinylFarm X Your Name Here. Everyone will likely cheer for you wherever you go, & if they don't - we know you got it.
So, keep doing what you love; immersing yourself in the perspective of poets and keepers of the pulse while we all work towards that goal to fill a soul with nourishment to leave them whole.
If my order/zip is selected can an I remain anonymous?
Credit due where credit owed.
By default your first and last name will be included in our presentation of the donation. We will contact you to let you know. If we cannot reach you. Yes. Credit will be given.
If you ask to remain anonymous let us know and we will see to that.
We love our privacy as well.

What is your policy on damaged records during shipping?
Please refer to our Return/Return Policy page but we will work with you is the short of it. However, also check out the Shipping Policy page for more info on what to do if a VinylFarm order arrives damaged.
How do I track my order?
We will send you tracking info via discogs if you purchased there. If not we will use our localized system here to provide that for you. Please be aware that from time to time USPS fails to update on scans but rest assured that the order is moving and will get to you soon.
How long does a shipment take?

Short answer:
We ship within 1 - 2 days
Then expect 3 - 9 days via USPS
Do you ship international?
Nope. We sure don't. We have several reasons as to why we have made this choice. Including avoiding fraud, shipping fees, and we are in service to promote food networks in the United States and we use zip codes to do so. Check the Shipping Policy page for more.
